Summary of The Alchemist
Santiago, a young shepherd walks in his own way for years. He meets a beautiful girl in a town where he goes to sell the wool of his sheep. He stays at an abandoned church with the herd of his sheep where he dreams the same dream what he dreams of several times.
He goes to a gypsy woman in quest of the meaning of his dream. The woman tells him to go to the pyramids to find hidden treasures. Santiago keeps belief in his mind and tries his best to reach there. He leaves the affection of the beautiful girl and sets up to go to the pyramids. On the way, he falls into so many troubles and traps and loses all his money.
Santiago has to stay for several years to earn money to make his departure success. At last, he goes to the pyramids and comes to know that the treasures are under a tree where there is an abandoned church. It is actually the church where he stayed for nights. His belief leads him to go back to the place where he starts. At last, he becomes successful.
